Dr. Joel Baillargeon was raised in Edmonton and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Alberta’s Faculté Saint-Jean. He went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry, where his academic excellence was recognized with the PUCO Dean’s Award in 2019.
With 7 years of experience in the field, Dr. Baillargeon is deeply committed to helping his patients achieve crisp, clear vision while protecting their long-term eye health. He has a particular clinical interest in dry eye treatment and the management of ocular disease and pain. Beyond the clinical technicalities, he truly values the opportunity to build strong, lasting relationships with his patients as he cares for them over the years.
When he is not in the clinic, Dr. Baillargeon is a busy father of twin boys. A dedicated sports fan, he can often be found cheering on the Edmonton Oilers or playing various sports himself, with a special fondness for golf. He also enjoys unwinding by playing cards and games with his friends and family.
