Dr. Richard McCormack, is a born and raised Edmontonian and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta and his Doctorate of Optometry with honours from the University of Waterloo. After graduation he moved back to Edmonton and opened his optometric practice in 1986.
Besides caring for his patients he has taught at N.A.I.T. in the Ophthalmic Dispensing Contact Lens course, The University of Alberta Pharmacology Program and he continues to lecture to his community, others in the vision care field as well as other health care professions.
Through his career Dr. McCormack has held positions with both the Alberta Association of Optometrist and was Chairman of the Alberta College of Optometrists from 1996-99. Dr. McCormack has also served as an expert witness in legal cases in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario. Dr. McCormack's belief in progressive, "state of the art" vision care services continues to make him one of the leaders in the eye care field.
